Chau Doc, home of Cham people, is your next destination before leaving to Can Tho where the colorful floating market can be seen.

Day 1: Pickup at Tan Son Nhat Airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 2: Drive to Cao Lanh - Dong Thap for a boat trip exploring Tram Forest. Overnight in Cao Lanh

Day 3: Visiting to Tam Nong National Park before heading Chau Doc. Overnight in Chau Doc

Day 4: A full day touring in Chau Doc.

Day 5: Drive from Chau Doc to Can Tho. Check-in and overnight at hotel in Can Tho.

Day 6: Visiting floating market in Can Tho by boat. Overnight in Can Tho

Day 7: Drive from Can Tho to Vinh Long for a boat trip discovery the rural life in Cai Be. Transferring to Ho Chi Minh City after that.

Day 8: Transferring to Tan Son Nhat Airport for departure flight.


Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon is a largest city of Vietnam where has modern office skyscrapers, amidst Chinese style pagodas and food stalls along the street, create a dynamic urban area in very special sense. Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City’s architecture and lifestyle is the reconciliation between American and Chinese influence, with many dots of modernity yet without losing Vietnamese traits and as much historical as it is modern.

Arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City, meet up your guide and driver and transfer to your hotel for check-in. You’ll have time to relax after your journey before a Welcome dinner at an excellent local restaurant in city. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

After breakfast at hotel, you will leave the busting Ho Chi Minh City behind and departing for Dong Thap, a province located in the South Western Region of Vietnam where highly developed agricultural. The borderless paddies and the peaceful boats floating on the channels are most of the things you can easily find here.

Upon arrival, you will board on a boat for visiting to the Tram Forest, which concealed a secret Viet Cong base during the American War. After lunch at Rung Tram, you continue the cruise to visit the gardens of local houses to see hundreds of white storks roosting in the trees. You’ll then drive to Cao Lanh for your overnight accommodation.

After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to Tam Nong National Park and Wetland Reserve. Here, a ‘crack-of-dawn’ boat cruise will take you through channels and eucalyptus woods to watch the many species of water birds in the National Reserve – Tam Nong. This place is home of over 200 kinds of bird and migratory species. Many of these are listed in the Red Book, specially the rare red-headed cranes that migrate between Tam Nong and Cambodia that you are maybe lucky to encounter when visiting during Jan to May. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant (or picnic lunch).

In the afternoon, you’ll drive to Chau Doc, a town on the border between Vietnam and Cambodia. Arrival in Chau Doc, you will check in at hotel and have rest of day free at leisure. You will spend tonight at hotel in Chau Doc

After breakfast, you will board on a small boat to visit floating fish-farm houses. Here you can see people feeding the cat-fishes underneath their house or you might love to try feeding them if you wish to. After that, you will continue cruising to Cham village where Cham minorities living can be met. It would be a great opportunity when you can meet and chat with people here and understanding their history and lifestyle through the daily activities and the culture. Lunch will be served at nice restaurant in Chau Doc.

In the afternoon, you are guided for a visiting to the Sam Mountain. At the foot of the mountain, you will step into the Temple of Lady Chua Su and listen to the history of this temple. Continue climbing up to the summit of Sam Mountain, and worth the effort because the views of the pancake-flat Mekong and the plain across the Cambodian border are striking. After the visiting, you’ll be free to wander around in town or, if you wish, visit the infamous Bone Pagoda. You will spend tonight at a hotel in Chau Doc.

After breakfast at hotel, you will drive to Can Tho via Long Xuyen. The journey will take around 4 hours which seems long and uninteresting. However, you are free to ask for a stop along the way where has beautiful sceneries with paddies, river or local activities of people in their village for taking some unique photos your own.

Upon arrival in Can Tho, you will check in at hotel and enjoy your rest of day free at leisure. Tonight, you will be free for wandering around the city for own discovery or shopping.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market on the Mekong River. Both of the journey and the market provide insights into the rural Mekong Delta lifestyle. After that, you will have lunch at a restaurant in city.

In the afternoon, you will call in at the beautiful and ancient Vinh Trang pagoda, 3 km from My Tho centre.  Vinh Trang Pagoda is renowned for its architectural mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Angkor styles. It’s located on a 2 hectare block with 5 buildings, 2 ornamental yards, 178 pillars and many valuable statues (especially the statues of 18 arahants which were carved from wood and made in 1907) the pagoda will give you a deeper look into the relationship between Vietnamese art and Buddhist beliefs. After the visiting, you will drive back to hotel and enjoy the rest of day free at leisure.

After an early breakfast, you will travel to Vinh Long where a Mekong River cruise will take you to visit the fruit orchards, a traditional family-run brick kiln, and some long established cottage industries. Lunch at a local restaurant where served special dishes of Mekong Delta.

In the afternoon, you will drive to visit Munir Ansay, an ancient Khmer style pagoda, renowned for its unique structural decorations. Constructed in 1948 and modelled on Cambodia’s famous Angkor Wat complex, the’ Three Treasures’ tower, the Munir Ansay pagoda has many intricate statues and pillars. Today, approximately a million Khmer people live in Vietnam, mostly in the Mekong Delta provinces.

Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City at late afternoon, you will check in at hotel and have rest of day free at leisure.
