DAY 01: HO CHI MINH CITY ARRIVAL

Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon is a largest city of Vietnam where has modern office skyscrapers, amidst Chinese style pagodas and food stalls along the street, create a dynamic urban area in very special sense. Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City’s architecture and lifestyle is the reconciliation between American and Chinese influence, with many dots of modernity yet without losing Vietnamese traits and as much historical as it is modern.

Arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City, meet up your guide and driver and transfer to your hotel for check-in. You’ll have time to relax after your journey before a welcome dinner at an excellent local restaurant in city. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 02: HO CHI MINH CITY – CAI BE – VINH LONG HOMESTAY

Escaping from Ho Chi Minh City’s urban sprawl, you’ll travel to Cai Be where a Mekong River cruise will take you to visit the Cai Be floating market, fruit orchards, a traditional family-run brick kiln, and some long established cottage industries. Your lunch will be served at a good local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue cruising further to Vinh Long. Here you will meet a local family and spend tonight at their house. Not only for staying overnight but also a place that you can get hands in family’s activities to learn more about the lifestyles of Mekong people.

DAY 03: VINH LONG – CAN THO

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Can Tho. Upon arrival, you’ll call in at the Munir Ansay – an ancient Khmer style pagoda, renowned for its unique structural decorations. The pagoda was constructed in 1948 and modelled on Cambodia’s famous Angkor Wat complex, the’ Three Treasures’ tower, the Munir Ansay pagoda has many intricate statues and pillars. Today, approximately a million Khmer people live in Vietnam, mostly in the Mekong Delta provinces. Later, you will drive to hotel in Can Tho for check in and lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will be guided for a visiting to the beautiful and ancient Vinh Trang pagoda which is 3 km from My Tho centre.  Vinh Trang Pagoda is renowned for its architectural mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Angkor styles. The pagoda will give you a deeper look into the relationship between Vietnamese art and Buddhist beliefs. You will spend the night in Can Tho.

DAY 04: RETURNING HO CHI MINH CITY FROM MEKONG DELTA

After an early breakfast, enjoy a boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market on the Mekong River. This colorful market is started very early in the morning around 6.00AM till noon. Cai Rang floating market is most highlight of Mekong Delta where the vendors from many provinces around Can Tho will gather and line up their boat on the river to trade their products for money or similar goods from other. After the visiting, you will have lunch at a local restaurant before driving back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon, you will transfer to hotel and enjoy the rest of day free at leisure.

DAY 05: HO CHI MINH CITY – DA LAT

After breakfast at hotel, you will be free at leisure till transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for flight to Da Lat. Upon arrival in Da Lat airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel in Da Lat for check in.

Da Lat, also called “City of Flowers”, is located on Lang Biang highlands which is part of Central Highlands of Vietnam. This place is one of the most interesting destinations of Vietnam because of its unique climate which called “Eternal Spring”, the special architectures in French style that can be seen from houses and buildings and the beautiful natural landscapes including the lake, waterfalls, valley and hills.

In the afternoon, enjoy visiting to Da Lat city starting with Hang Nga House, also called Crazy House because of its weird architecture. This house is a piece of artwork that really surpasses the limit of people’s imagination. Designed by Vietnamese architect and impressionist Dang Viet Nga, this extraordinary building of non-rectilinear shapes has appeared in many international architectural journals and finally made its way to the list of the world’s ten most creative buildings. Bao Dai’s Summer Palace is the next place that you will visit today. The palace was built from 1933-1937 under the dynasty of King Bao Dai, the last king of Vietnam feudal court. The palace was designed in the art deco style and lies in the middle of a pine forest near the Pasteur Institute. In the past, this villa was constructed as a retreating place King Bao Dai and his royal family to escape the summer heat. After 1950, when the French colonial came back to Vietnam, the palace occupied a role as the office and house of the king. You will then transfer back to hotel and enjoy rest of day free at leisure.

DAY 06: HIKING AROUND DA LAT

After breakfast, you’ll drive along picturesque scenic roads to the famous Dinh An Village, also called ‘chicken village’, aptly named due to a huge chicken statue in the centre of the township. The women of this minority village are famous for the bright designs of their fabric weaves. The first section of the trail passes through land farmed by small ethnic minority communities. You’ll hike between Elephant Mountain and another large peak from where you’ll have an overview of the agricultural scene of the valley floor.

Lunch will consist of some of Da Lat’s tasty produce. After a breather, your guide will take you through an abrupt change in scenery from brush to dense forest. The track follows rolling hills populated with broad-leafed trees and vines. If you’re lucky, you may see a wild orchid in bloom or perhaps a few monkeys. Leaving the forest, you will be guided to across a meadow and toward the Tuyen Lam Lake. Don’t be alarmed if you meet an elephant along the way - they live at the lake and are tame. You’ll finish your walk at a lakeside campsite, with time for a swim in the lake (weather permitting).

In the late afternoon, you’ll drive back to your hotel in Da Lat City.

DAY 07: DA LAT – HO CHI MINH CITY

After breakfast, you will free at leisure till meet up with guide again and drive to Da Lat Airport for flight back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrival in Tan Son Nhat airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel for check in and have rest of day free with your own plans. You will spend tonight at hotel in city.

DAY 08: HO CHI MINH CITY DEPARTURE

After breakfast at hotel, you will be free for own discovery the city, shopping at market till meet up with guide and driver again for the transferring to Tan Son Nhat airport for your departure flight.
