The tour will be starting with boat trip from Cai Be explores the villages where you can meet up with Mekong people at their fruit garden. Tra Vinh, which is holy-land of Khmer people, is your next destination before visiting to Can Tho to see the colorful floating market. Last but not least, you will explore Chau Doc, a town in An Giang province, which has same border with Cambodia and also home of Cham people.

Day 1: Touring to the Mekong Delta from Ho Chi Minh City. Boat trip visiting Cai Be - Vinh Long. Overnight at homestay in Vinh Long

Day 2: Drive from Vinh Long to visit to Tra Vinh. Overnight at homestay in Vinh Long.

Day 3: Depart for touring and overnight in Can Tho

Day 4: Visiting to the floating market in Can Tho at early morning. After that, leaving for Chau Doc.

Day 5: A full day touring in Chau Doc

Day 6: Drive from Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City. Check in and overnight at hotel in City

Day 7: Transferring to Tan Son Nhat Airport for departure flight



Escaping from Ho Chi Minh City’s urban sprawl, you’ll travel to Cai Be where a Mekong River cruise will take you to visit the Cai Be floating market, fruit orchards, a traditional family-run brick kiln, and some long established cottage industries. Your lunch will be served at a good local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue cruising further to Vinh Long. Here you will meet a local family and spend tonight at their house. Not only for staying overnight but also a place that you can get hands in family’s activities to learn more about the lifestyles of Mekong people.

In the morning, you will drive to Tra Vinh. This province is circled by flourishing plants in garden village along the river bank and also is a home of Khmer culture and architecture which reflect through the construction of many pagodas in the region. Up on arrival, you will be guided for a visiting to the Hang Pagoda, also known as Kam Pong Chray in the Khmer language. This pagoda is one of the examples of Khmer Buddhist architecture which has main hall is covered in elaborate carvings and the pagoda also boasts a lavishly decorated pointed top with bird-bodied, human-faced deity idols and intricately embossed sculpture. After that, you will drive to hotel in Tra Vinh for check in and have lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, drive to visit the Ong Met Pagoda, or Wat Kompong in the Khmer language, which is a true architectural standout with elegant reliefs featuring the god Vishnu on the dome of its main hall. At the end of the day, you will visit to the Khmer Minority People’s Museum. After that, drive back to hotel and enjoy the rest of day free at leisure.

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Can Tho. Upon arrival, you’ll call in at the Munir Ansay – an ancient Khmer style pagoda, renowned for its unique structural decorations. The pagoda was constructed in 1948 and modelled on Cambodia’s famous Angkor Wat complex, the’ Three Treasures’ tower, the Munir Ansay pagoda has many intricate statues and pillars. Today, approximately a million Khmer people live in Vietnam, mostly in the Mekong Delta provinces. Later, you will drive to hotel in Can Tho for check in and lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will be guided for a visiting to the beautiful and ancient Vinh Trang pagoda which is 3 km from My Tho centre.  Vinh Trang Pagoda is renowned for its architectural mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Angkor styles. The pagoda will give you a deeper look into the relationship between Vietnamese art and Buddhist beliefs. You will spend the night in Can Tho.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market on the Mekong River. This colorful market is started very early in the morning around 6.00AM till noon. Cai Rang floating market is most highlight of Mekong Delta where the vendors from many provinces around Can Tho will gather and line up their boat on the river to trade their products for money or similar goods from other. After the visiting, you will have lunch at a local restaurant before driving to Chau Doc.

Arrival in Chau Doc at late afternoon, you will check in at hotel and have rest of day free at leisure. You will spend tonight at hotel in Chau Doc

After breakfast, you will board on a small boat to visit floating fish-farm houses. Here you can see people feeding the cat-fishes underneath their house or you might love to try feeding them if you wish to. After that, you will continue cruising to Cham village where Cham minorities living can be met. It would be a great opportunity when you can meet and chat with people here and understanding their history and lifestyle through the daily activities and the culture. Lunch will be served at nice restaurant in Chau Doc.

In the afternoon, you are guided for a visiting to the Sam Mountain. At the foot of the mountain, you will step into the Temple of Lady Chua Su and listen to the history of this temple. Continue climbing up to the summit of Sam Mountain, and worth the effort because the views of the pancake-flat Mekong and the plain across the Cambodian border are striking. After the visiting, you’ll be free to wander around in town or, if you wish, visit the infamous Bone Pagoda. You will spend tonight at a hotel in Chau Doc.

After breakfast at hotel, you will drive to Ho Chi Minh City. The journey will take around 7 hours which seems long and uninteresting. However, you are free to ask for a stop along the way where beautiful sceneries with paddies, river and local people’s activities can be seen for taking some unique photos your own.

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will check in at hotel and enjoy your rest of day free at leisure. Tonight, you will be free for wandering around the city for own discovery or shopping.

After breakfast at hotel, you will be free for own till meet up with guide and driver again for the transferring to Tan Son Nhat airport for your departure flight.
