Overview

This eight-day tour is included the most highlights of Central Vietnam. The tour will be starting from Hue, the old capital during Nguyen’s Dynasty. Next, exploring the DMZ (the De-Militarized Zone) in Quang Tri province, where used to the epicenter of the American war. Last but not least, visiting to Hoi An Ancient Town, where used to be a major trading port in 17th-18th century.

DAY 01: FLIGHT FROM HANOI/HO CHI MINH CITY TO HUE

Hue city is the old capital of Vietnam during 1802 - 1945 under the control of Nguyen’s dynasty. Nowadays, the city is still keeping many historic sites of Nguyen’s Dynasty in which includes Imperial Palace, Pagodas and King’s tombs.

Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our guide and transferred to hotel in Hue for check-in. Enjoying the rest of your day free at leisure.

DAY 02: DISCOVERY HUE ANCIENT KINGDOM

Today, your morning will be taken up by a Cycles Rickshaw tour to the Thien Mu Pagoda and the Imperial Citadel of Hue, the complex is occupying a large, bounded area on the north side of Perfume River. Your lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

You then will drive to the Royal Tombs of Emperor Minh Mang and Emperor Khai Dinh. These two mausoleums span the long reign of the Nguyen King’s imperial dynasty – the contrast is stark. You’ll sit down for dinner in the pleasant surroundings and a comfortable atmosphere of another of the garden houses. You’ll spend the night in Hue.

DAY 03: A HALF DAY BIKING AROUND HUE CITY

You are guided for a cycling through Hue’s rural villages towards the Thanh Toan Bridge. Nearby, a local market will provide you with views of daily life and local products. You'll then return to Hue’s city centre with en-route visit the Ngoc Son Princess ‘garden house’. It has an attractive family altar and the owner is an expert on Hue’s culture and history. After lunch, you’ll be free to explore the city on your own. You’ll spend the night in Hue.

DAY 04: EXCURSION TO THE DMZ IN HUE

Today, you’ll drive to Quang Tri Province for an excursion in DMZ - De-militarized Zone. Quang Tri is the province preserves many remains from the anti-American resistance war. When you arrived in Quang Tri, visit to the Citadel of Quang Tri, then to the south of Ben Hai River through the Hien Luong Bridge, which was home to the DMZ during the war. Following the Khe Sanh Combat Base where you can take across the river to visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels which was an elaborate tunnel system, created by the villagers as a refuge to survive bombing. Keep driving to the Truong Son National Cemetery where remaining of about 15.000 Vietnam soldiers and civilians have been laid to rest. After the visiting here, you will drive back to Hue and arrival in hotel at late afternoon.

DAY 05: HUE – DANANG – HOI AN

In the morning, drive from Hue to Hoi An. On the way, you'll cross the high mountain pass of Hai Van. The views from the top are excellent – you should be able to see Lang Co beach and village, and the lagoon far below, with Danang spread out before you to the south. In Danang, you’ll have a brief look at the remarkable Hindu statuary in the Cham Museum before leaving for Hoi An. Lunch will be served in a good restaurant in Danang.

After arrival in Hoi An, you will check-in hotel and enjoy your rest of day free at leisure with many shop-houses in town. You will spend the night in Hoi An.

DAY 06: HOI AN ANCIENT TOWN

Hoi An is well-known as a major trading port in Southeast Asia back in 17-18th century and this place was welcomed many countries from the world to come and trading their goods during the time. Not only selling and buying things, Japanese and Chinese left their marks in this town by built up many old houses and pagodas which have very special structures. These sites of cultural through years were mixed with Vietnamese culture of local people and made Hoi An became more and more unique as a must-see place in Vietnam.

you will enjoy a walking tour explores Hoi An Ancient Town including the visiting to the 400 years old Japanese Bridge, Chinese communal hall – Phuc Kien Pagoda, the oldest house – Tan Ky and the colorful local market of Hoi An. The lunch will be served inside the town with many local special local dishes. After that, enjoying the rest of day free at leisure at Cua Dai beach or getting busy with shopping at many shop-houses in the town. You will spend your night at hotel in Hoi An.

DAY 07: FREE DAY IN HOI AN

It’s a free day for your own enjoying.
